Nature Groups- Dates, Monthly Fees, Registration
A Day in the Life
Gathering in nature is healing and good for the soul. It really brings our participating families together and bonds us through a shared experience. Nature teaches us so much about life. From the time we are born, we are natural explorers of the world around us... so what better classroom could we ask for?!
One of the most important aspects of our culture in Sycamore is cooperation and support. You will see this best modeled by our incredible families when out in nature. Whether it's helping carry an extra bag or kiddo across the creek, offering a snack to help sustain a toddler until the end of a hike, comforting a little one after a scraped knee, or sharing our knowledge of nature with the group along the trail, you will see every member of our group naturally step up and jump in to help when needed. There is no judgement or shaming in our group. Forgot a diaper? It's ok. Have a crying kid the entire walk? It's ok. Feel totally on top your game that day? Awesome! We love it! Wish that there was wine in your water bottle instead of water? Don't we all?!
We would love to have your family join us for one of our Sycamore Outdoor days! This is a stand-alone membership, so you do not have to be a member of our classroom co-op to join. All ages are welcome.
Weekly Sycamore Outdoor Days
Sycamore Outdoor will be offered as follows:
Fridays- 1:30 pm- Perry and Fairfield County area
Monthly participation fees are charged September- May
Participation fees are deducted the 1st of the month at the following fee schedule:
$12 per family per month
Why do we charge for nature groups?
Because we are a 501c3 organization we are required to carry insurance for all activities. This small monthly fee goes toward covering that insurance.
Can I come to a day to try it out first?
If we have a group that has open spots, you are more than welcome to attend one Sycamore Outdoor day to see if it would be a good fit for your family.
Because we rely on memberships to sustain our program, no refunds of ongoing monthly participation fees will be given after registration. If there are extenuating circumstances, these can be discussed with the director.
Registration Fee and Schedule
A non-refundable $15 registration fee per family is due by August 15, 2023.
